About Fitable
This is Fitable and I am Alex. Fitable was created to ensure everyone has access to information and guidance that can help them lead healthier, longer lives. It doesn’t matter whether you’re an aspiring athlete trying to get stronger, an entrepreneur who wants more mental clarity, or grandma who wants to make sure she can always pick up her grandkids. We can all get our bodies and minds to a place that helps us achieve our goals and live life exactly the way we want to.

I am a biohacker at heart, but don’t let that term scare you - you don’t have to be. I’ve tried just about everything so you don’t have to. Unless, of course, you want to. In which case, game on! To give you a rough sense of what I mean - on diets alone I’ve spent time evaluating vegetarian, paleo, carnivore, keto, zone, and intermittent fasting diets. I even spent almost a month consuming nothing but 2% milk and lettuce because of the unique macronutrient ratio. For fitness, I’ve done dedicated training stints in each of the following - yoga, ironmans, Crossfit, traditionals strength training, distance swimming, jiu jitsu, and even speed walking. I’ve explored cold plunges, intermittent and long term fasting, meditation, breath training, and just about every fad “therapy” under the sun.
If you think I’m crazy or haven’t heard of half of these things, don’t worry. The only requirement for this blog is that you have an interest (bonus points for desire) to advance your health and fitness - whatever that means for you.
My Promise
My promise is that I will leave no stone left unturned in pursuit of this objective. From reviewing the latest fads to deep dives in academic journals; trying the newest wearables to evaluating fitness influencers - you’ll get it all. And objectively at that. I don't do paid reviews and I don't do sponsorships.
Two guiding principles:
- There’s no magic formula, but there are solid foundations. Our bodies are constantly changing—whether it’s due to age, travel, stress, or relationships. That’s why it’s crucial to understand the basics: how food, movement, and lifestyle choices affect your body. With this knowledge, you can adapt and thrive, no matter what life throws at you.
- Flexibility is key.Life’s too short to be strict all the time. My approach is about balance: aiming for 80% consistency with healthy habits while leaving room for the 20% that makes life enjoyable. Whether it’s a slice of birthday cake, a big night out, or a glass of wine with family, these moments matter too—and they shouldn’t derail your overall goals.
