Fitable's Philosophy
Hi, my name is Alex and I'm on a mission to help everyone lead a happier, healthier life. It starts with being informed and dedicated. I can't help you with the second, but I can help you with the first.

Health is not one-size fits all, but I've found there are some core foundations that will help anyone achieve their objective - whether you want just want to drop a pant size or you win a multi-sport endurance competition. That's where we come in.
Who is Fitable for?
I’ve walked this path myself. As a pretty average person, I played high school sports, but not college; eat reasonably well, but love pizza and bagels (and pizza bagels); and I lead a pretty busy life between work and family. Despite that, at almost 40, I'm in the best shape of my life and I'm spending less time and mental energy focusing on health and fitness.
If you're in the middle 50% of people like me, Fitable is for you. The busy moms, the hustling new grads, guys trying to lose the "dad bod" (whether you're a dad or not), and the empty nesters trying to stay healthy into their golden years.
The Three Foundations
After years of experimentation (dare I say, bio-hacking?) I've tested countless programs, workouts, diets, meditation practices, and health philosophies. I'll cover each in detail in time, but the tl;dr is this - there are three core areas of knowledge that hold disproportionate impact on health and longevity. Best of all, an understanding of these areas seems to scale results proportionally - so you don't need mastery to get something out of them. A little understanding will produce some results, more understanding will produce more results...and so on.
These three areas cover what you do (activity), what you put in your body (fuel, or food), and how you connect your physical body to your emotional and mental state.
1. Activity
Activity is all about movement. It includes traditional workouts like CrossFit, yoga, and powerlifting, but it also embraces other ways to stay active, such as walking with friends, playing sports, or even diving into the pickleball craze. The beauty of activity is its variety—you can find what works best for you. What’s important is optimizing your activity to match your goals and your lifestyle. Movement is the foundation for physical vitality and mental clarity.
2. Fuel (food)
When I say fuel, I don't mean to abstractly cover food, diets, or even nutrition—it’s more nuanced than that. Your fuel and activity are intricately linked. If you’re a powerlifter, the timing and type of fuel you need are vastly different from what works for a marathon runner. And if you’re a busy working parent or student squeezing in quick 20-minute workouts, there’s yet another fuel strategy tailored to your needs. The point is that fuel is the energy source that enables us to perform, recover, and live our lives fully. Just like a car runs best with the right fuel, our bodies thrive when we give them exactly what they need to match our activity and goals.
3. Mind-Body Alignment
This final pillar is what truly brings everything together. Mind-body alignment includes both the stressors and de-stressors that help us thrive. De-stressors, like meditation and yoga, calm the nervous system, while stressors, like cold plunges, heat exposure, and breathwork, help the body build resilience. Together, these practices create balance, ensuring we’re not just surviving but optimizing every day. For me, understanding and implementing this third area was the game-changer. Once I mastered it, I finally felt like I was on a sustainable path to a happier, healthier life.
At Fitable, I'M here to guide you through these three areas, so you can find what works best for you and build a life that feels good inside and out. Welcome.
